Tipping...going overboard?

OK, so I've always felt that tipping at counter service is dodgy at best. The guy who does my huge special order coffee? Maybe. The standard Starbucks? Come on, they get *dental* for crying out loud. The whole point of counter service is that you are *not being waited on* by someone running back and forth to get your stuff, and they are not being paid below minimum like a waiter is.

The final frontier - I go through the Starbucks DRIVE THRU. I repeat, the DRIVE THRU, and there is, on the ledge outside the window, a tip cup. I don't think I should tip for food handed through my window unless the server is on roller skates.
